We are delighted to launch The Annual Fund 2019, designed to further enhance the girls’ life and experiences at School. Three carefully selected projects have been chosen which will benefit the whole School, providing both intellectual stimulation and inspiration whilst also enriching the very important time spent outside of the classroom. These are as follows:

Outdoor Pop-Up Cinema – Celebrating Community
We strive to give QM girls all they need to achieve their full potential and, importantly, to have great fun whilst doing so. An Outdoor Pop-Up Cinema provides the perfect opportunity to enrich our already award-winning Community Weekends and bring the whole QM Family together, making use of the wonderful grounds that we are fortunate to have in a totally new and exciting fashion.

Cellars Sixth Form Social Hub – Encouraging Friendship
We will be developing Cellars into a buzzing social hub, where the Sixth Form can take time out from their studies and relax, catch up with friends, listen to music or grab a drink. This redevelopment will include a state-of-the-art sound and lighting system, a ‘chill zone’ with comfortable sofas and an opportunity for some friendly competition with the introduction of a karaoke system and interactive games, which can also be used for House competitions across the School.

QM Lecture Series – Inspiring Knowledge
All girls will have access to a series of inspiring termly lectures from eminent guests on a wide range of topics, with the purpose of inspiring, challenging and enthusing students.

In the last academic year, we exceeded our fundraising target of £35,000 through the generous support of the QM Family, and thanks to this generosity, the girls are now benefiting physically, mentally and emotionally. QMFIT, the activity trail, launched at the start of the Autumn Term in 2018; radio microphones have been purchased and will encourage girls to grow in confidence onstage; and, with work soon to start on the creation of the Quiet Garden which will be open for Speech Day, the girls, and indeed the whole QM Family, will have a new and special haven within our beautiful grounds.

Alongside this, donations to the Bursary Fund have enabled the School to change the lives of many girls who have benefited from a QM education.
